roommate essay corrections

Some people prefer living with a roommate while others prefer living alone.  What do you think?  Give example.

1)

These days, lots of students live in the studio apartment. Sometimes some people lives alone. Because they feel annoyed ( about noise, sharing stuff and so on. ) But I am in favor of living with a roommate.

I prefer living with a roommate because it helps reduce housing expenses , make new friends and , build a good relationship.

I  prefer to live with roommates because we can save money, have new friends and be a close friend.

It is better to me to live with a roommate because saving money, sharing sympathy and creat good relationship.

First, Living with my rommate is to save money. The studio apartment around university is very expensive to pay for colleger. It is a burden to my family. So, living with my rommate is putting down the burden of heart. Clearly, my roommate has the same idea with me, too.

Second, another relationship can be created by living with roommate.

when I was fresh man, I met roommate and his friends together. At first, I felt very awkward. But, hours later, we went for a drink and we had a lot to talk . Since that time, we became best friends. Still now, we are also continues the relationship.

finally, I can share my emotions together.

For example, if I break up with a girlfriend, he can encourage me with a drink. Or if he get a job, I also can celebrate him with a small gift. If he or I hate someone, we may talk behind someone's back. Thus, we may feel gladness or sadness together about the story. And also, you have a lot of memories that we can share.

Of course, you may not agree with my opinion. And in certain situation, you may also be irritating to roommate. But, I think Living with roomate is a wonderful experience. And obviously, you will get a lot of things than losing. So, I want you to experience with roommate.

2)

There are many people in the earth. Each of them has particular characters. The characters are good or bad for us. You can't always meet people who are compatible with you. When you are bear to live with people who are not compatible with you, you can be more mature than before. As college students, you have many chance to get roommates. There are also good or bad things for you to live with roommates. In my experience, living with roommates is not good. Now I'll explain why living with roommates is not good.

I think that living with roommate is not good thing because we may be violated privacy, be stressful to share everything, and so on.  Finish this thesis.

Living with a roommate is not good because you have to share your product, care about others, and It is hard to match different life style.   Privacy

I like live alone because privacy is very important to me, get stress when share stuff, have to get permit something to do, people have a different life cycle and hard to divide bill.

First reason is that there are no privacy. For example, you sometimes need to be alone in your room. But you can't tell roommates thar "i want to be alone now sho go outside please." because it may be very rude. In addition, when you broke up with lover, you want to cry alone. Bur your roommates are there with you, you may be difficult to cry. For this reason, the privacy is very important thing to live.

Second biggest reason is sharing. You have to share some daily necessity when you live with roommates. For example, when you buy some food to eat in your room, you have to consider weather your roommate eats together or not. This is very stress thing to live with roommates.

Last reason is care about others. You must get permit from your roommate when you want to use public site. For example, you have to get permit form your roommate when you invite your friend to your room.

For this reason, living with roommate is not good thing. When you are going to live with someone, you must consider this reasons and then decide what you do. There are many disadvantages and advantages to live with roommates. Therefore it is up to you weather living with roommates is good or bad.

The fourth biggest reason is different sleep cycles. People can save energy by take a rest. One of the best thing to take rest is sleeping. But when you can't sleep because your roommate do something, you may be very annoyed.

The last one is sharing expenses. You have to pay a bill like electronic, water or gas. But it is very hard to divide exactly how many you use. Forthermore, the money problem is very sensitive thing between people. therefore, you may get stress when you pay a bill.

3)

Decision of whether I live in a room alone or not is a kind of important step in a life. Some people would like to live alone. Otherwise, some people and I prefer to live with a roommate. On each side have advantages and also disadvantages. But I would like to live with someone who can help each other.. When we are looking for a roommate, we can notice some information about the rule and characteristic that I want someone has. That’s why we can meet a great roommate so I think it’s better to have a roommate. Let me explain more specific. There’re a few good points of living with roommates, for example, it is economical, safer and we can have a fun together

First, it is more economical to live together to cover a half of the expenses. There are a lot of things that we have to buy to live. If I have a roommate we can buy things together and share it, so we are able to save the money. Especially most of students are still not working, so they are poor and try to cut down on expenses.

Next, it is safer to have roommates. Nowadays it’s been dangerous to live alone. Unfortunately, many accidents have happened near a residence. Perhaps living with roommates is safer to protect from some troubles, bad or emergency situations.

Lastly, I am pretty sure that we can have many friends and also be a best friend each other. As I said above, we can find a roommate who has a similar characteristic and same hobby and so on, as I notice some information for roommates. Then, it doesn’t happen many times that complain something to each other. Living together, we can talk a lot. If I am concerned about something, my roommate can counsel in each case.

In conclusion, I would rather live with a roommate. The reasons are above and I had a great memory of a roommate that I lived together in Canada. At least for me, it is much better to live together.

Most young adults begin to separate from their parents when they go to college and they choose whether to live alone or with a roommate. This could be a difficult decision since both ways have advantages and disadvantages. In my experience, sharing a house with a roommate is better than living alone in terms of a social life, more safety, and saving money.

First of all, if you live with a roommate, you can create a network in perhaps other schools or new cities. For example, I used to have a roommate from a different school so when we held a party in our place, I could meet a number of people with different backgrounds. Also I think that living together is the first step to learn how to interact with people because it means that I should always care about my roommate. Even if I had some conflicts with my roommates, through this I learned how to solve a problem without a fight.

Secondly, there are many articles reporting that crimes against single people, especially women, has been increasing. So having a roommate can be the prevention of crime. Because I heard those crimes a lot, I easily get scared when I am home alone. However, if i'm with a roommate it doesn't scare me anymore.

Most important to least important

Finally, the most beneficial issue, I believe, is about expense. Sharing a living space with a roommate would cost less since I only pay half of the maintenance cost, rental fee, water bill and so on. My roommate and I shared household items such as cleaning supplies and kitchen supplies as well and it helped me to make spare money.

In conclusion, it is my belief that having a roommate is such a good opportunity for young adults who are in the very beginning of their life. We can learn a lot of things they haven't experienced. My experiences over the past 4 years with my roommate have made me grow up more.

Generally, There are a lot of chances to live with roommates after graduation from high school. In that case, people have to make a decision to get a roommate for many reasons whether you live in dormitory. In my experience, I believe living with a roommate bring positive effect in my life. There are three important reasons to me. I feel safer in emergency situation, and I could save money economically. Moreover, I have fun with my roommate.

In my experience, living with a  roommate brings a positive effect on my life because I feel safer in emergency situations, I can save money, and I have fun with my roommate.

Sometimes, people experience unwanted emergency situation as I experienced. I’d like to say a roommate may be a savior. One day, I felt allergic symptom after having dinner. As my face and throat swelled up, I began to breathe difficult. At that time, I didn’t know I have that kind of allergic reaction. My roommate realized the situation was going to be dangers, so he called 119. I moved to an ambulance to get to hospital. The allergic reaction turned out clams which affect my body by specific species. He saved my life. Therefore, emergency situation is most significant reason to be with a roommate.

Next, I can financially save money. Usually, college students and new graduates are challenging to pay rent fee on their own. However, it would lessen burden you if they share rent fee with a roommate. Moreover, people have to pay not only rent fee, but utilization fee such as water, electricity, internet, and maintenance. When you feel difficulty to pay rent fee. it’s a best way to have a roommate.

The last reason is having roommate is fun. Fortunately, I’ve had a lot of same hobbies with my roommates since living with several roommates. For example, I watch a movie and a comedy show with my roommate in the room. We usually share our thinking like how movies are good or bad after finishing it. I also go to the gym with my roommate. Then, I work out with him, and often play a badminton game. It’s really nice to have the company to be fun.

In other words, I’ve had a lot of great experience with my roommate. They’ve helped me when I was in trouble. We shared rent fee to reduce spending money. At last, I always have fun with them.

  2. Living with a roommate not only has a lot of problems but also it has the advantage. You should consider a lot of things. Some people prefer living with a roommate while others prefer living alone. In my case, I prefer living with a roommate. Because it can give me social communication skill. Also you can save the money and experience other person's life style and culture.

First of all, you can get a social communication skill. If you meet extraversion person you can get a lot chance which is talking each other. On the other hand, if you meet introversion person you can get a respectful attitude. By respecting your roommate you can raise your social communication skill. When I studied in Vancouver I lived with Spanish roommate. He is really good cook. So He taught me how to cook Spanish food. Also we went Stanly Park together and talk about world economy. I was able to know about spanish food and grow my social network skill.

Second, you can save your money. When i was second grade in university i shared rentals with my friend. Also we shared Electricity bills and gas bill. I was able to save about 500 dollars. Most students do not have enough money. So we should reduce our expenses.

Third, you can experience other person's life style and culture. Living alone means that you should do everything. you should cook alone or clean the room alone. But If you live with roommate ,you are able to experience other people's life style. For example, If your roommate is foreigner you can experience their language and culture. You are able to eat their food and experience their traditional section.

In conclusion, Living with roommate has many advantage. You can get a social communication skill and save the money. Also experience other person's life style and culture. That's why I prefer living with roommate and recommend you to live with roommate.

  3. Although I haven't had many experiences in living with roommates, I think we can take many advantages from living roommates. And in order to live in this world as a human, we need to socialize with other people whether you want or don't want. Because we are called "the social animal" and that is who we are. Of course, we can't live without other people. So, in my opinion, when it comes to “living with roommates”, we can make our socialization better from having conversations and making new friends.

First, in order to socialize, we need to know how to have conversations. When we live with roommates, we have to share our living place. Thus, Something that makes you bothered may happen. Moreover you may get angry. But, we must endure at the moment to avoid arguing, After that we can talk and solve the problems that makes us bothered with our roommates. It needs great skills. So, you can learn how to make a conversation with other people in this process.

Second, Apparently, Roommates are usually decided randomly In our university, It must be a big advantage. For most of people, making new friends is really important. Despite we've already known it, we can't approach to strange people who we meet for the first time. But our university gives us chance to be easy it. As living together, roommates can be friendly than other students!

In conclusion, living with roommates gives us many advantages. And it also gives us many disadvantages that makes you bothered and angry. But I think in order to live in the world, it would be tiny things that you can endure while we are living, and it is necessary to socialize. It also makes you can make friends easier. Therefore, to be a sociable person, Living with roommates should be a good way for us.

  6. Most people have to live apart from thier family in sometimes. It is usually happened when they enter college. In that time, People may have roommates when live in dormitory. It may be better for you to live alone than live with roommates because there is no privacy, diffrence life cycle and care about others.

Firstly. there is no privacy when you live with roommates. I'm sure that you will need private time or room. For example, if you have some complex about body or something, you want to hide them. But it is imposible to hide that complex when you live with roommates.

Secondly, you and your roommates has particular life cycle. It is good for you if life cycle is compatible. But if It is not, you may get a lot of stress by diffence of life cycle. For instance, you are so tired that you want to sleep. But If your roommates have to do something when you go to bed, you can't sleep deeply and then you'll get stress.

Lastly, you are stressful when you care about others. If you want to invite your friends, listen music loudly, and sing a song, you must ask to your roommates is it okay if I could do that things.

In conclusion, it is better for you to live alone. Because if you live alone, you can get private site, controld your own life style and don't get permit from roommates when you do something. Therefore I recommend that if you have a chance to live alone, it is good for you to get that chance.

  7. In that we live in a society with the big population and high housing costs, Most of us get at least one chance to share our living space with a roommate. Especially when we enter university, first get a job (for instance in Seoul) or go abroad to study. In my case, I got my first roommate when I was a freshman. Now I am a senior and I still live with a roommate. I prefer to live with a roommate because he usually affects my life in a positive way, for example, Meeting new people, becoming more responsible, and getting some help are only few benefits of many.

Once you get a roommate, It’s almost impossible to avoid having a conversation with him or her. Therefore, you naturally get to know about him or her and as you become friends you get access to his or her friend circles, too. For instance, whenever I had roommates, he always brought his friends over to our house and that made me lots of new friends who I keep in touch with even now.

Also, sharing a house with a roommate takes responsibility. if you do not try to be responsible for whatever you do in the house, that may get your roommate angry. Therefore, you should take responsibility and avoid having trouble with him. In other words, living with a roommate teaches responsibility.

Moreover, a roommate can get you out of trouble. When I was a freshmen, I was in a hurry not to be late for a class. On the way to the class, I realized that I forgot to bring my homework that I was supposed to submit to the professor in person. I quickly called my roommate and asked him to bring the homework to the class. Eventually, thanks to him, I could submit my homework without any problems.

Overall, I think that roommates has helped me get a better life. I have made lots of new friends, learned to be responsible, and got helped many times from roommates. I can clearly say that having a roommate has a lot of advantages.

  10. When I entered Koreatechnology Education University, I had lived in dormitory with two roommates who major in computer science engineering. Now I am living in room with cooking facilities with my friend. In my opinion, I think that there are some advantages related to living with roommates, when I face any problem, he or she can help me to solve the problem at the nearest place, we can make lots of friends through roommates and we should reduce financial difficulty dividing expense.

In the first place, having rommates can deal with big and small troubles. in my case, I always have to take homeworks like report, announcement from university. Because I am student in college of engineering, Problems I should reslove are math, science, programming. These subjects are very difficult contents and complex. For I finish these homeworks, I mostly used to ask my roommates to be good at logical thought. Also If my roommates ask another questions to me, I can help to him too. that's win-win strategy to each other.

Secondly, I meet many people walking around university. people mostly are linked with each other. if I communicate a stranger, the person may is friend of my roommates. Soon, I can be close to the person because we talk about having same friend. that I have roommates is chance expanding social relationship. this relationship can be of help when I meet many problems.

Finally, we can cut back life expense by paying on dutch. expense about daily supplies is a burden to students. so we would like collect money with our roommates. as a result, we are satisfied by smalls expense. the rest cost of living is used to do what I want to do and we can get habit to economize.

I am always very interested to live with my roommates. also, I sometimes seem to take many aids. In conclusion, I can say that having roommates is very something interesting and affecting our to take positive effects. Let live together rather than live alone for our good life.

  11. These days, lots of students live in the studio apartment. Sometimes some people lives alone because of having a privacy zone or using stuff with no permission. But, I prefer to live with roommates because we can reduce housing expenses, have new friends, be a close friends.

First, Student don't have enought money. If living alone, he has to pay for a lot of money. However, living with roommates costs more less than living alone because we can share rental fee. Besides, we can buy many stuffs and share them. So, we can save the expense together.

Second, you can make new friends. For example, when I was fresh man, roommate invited his friends in our room. At first, I felt very awkward. But we had a lot to talk with beer and we became best friends. Maybe, we had a similar tendency about something. Like this, we can know roommate's friends and make friends if you want.

Finally, I know we can be a close friend if a special thing happens.
For example, if I break up with a girlfriend, he can encourage me with a drink. Or if he get a job, I also can celebrate him with a small gift. If he or I hate someone, we may talk behind someone's back. Like this, we may feel gladness or sadness together about the story. That is, we can have a friendly feeling than before.

In conclusion, I think living with my roommate is very interesting and helpful. It is a saving money, making friends, being a close friends. In addition, you can have another advantages, too. obviously, I am convince that you will get a lot of things than losing. So, I want you to experience with roommate.

  12. These days, many people want to live with roommates for a variety of reasons. On the other hand, it is difficult to live alone. But many are so convenient. I prefer to live alone because I don‘t want to use together my things, want to have privacy, don‘t want to care others.

First, I don’t like using my stuff without my permission. Especially, I don’t like use underwear, socks, towels, razors together. Others are fine. After using my things, my roommate have to clean up my stuff in place of original position.

Second, I want to have a private space. Maybe the problem is the relationship between people, but personal relationship is sufficient in school or club activities. It isn’t a problem. And some people want to have a secret to hide. So private space is necessary.

Last, Living alone doesn’t have to worry other people. Sometimes I want to sleep early because of fatigue. But roommate have to do his homework or studies until late night. Be careful with each other, but it isn’t comfortable both him and me. I need to have a private space to rest comfortably without worrying other people.

Living alone or together other people is a divergence between individuals. I have good experiences to live other people but have bad experiences. Therefore, I want to live alone. Others can’t touch my stuff and It will be private and comfortable life.

  13. Living with a roommate has not only advantages but also disadvantages. I believe living with a roommate brings many advantages such as sharing cost of living, learning social skill and communication skill, having feeling of serenity and how to care and respect others. I will explain why.

First, you can share cost of living. If you live alone, you will buy daily necessities alone. Moreover, you have to pay all utility bills along with rental bill. Without much to say, we all know this can be a huge finance burden for young people in general. Certainly with a roommate, you can share not only bills but also other miscellaneous expenses. Therefore living with a roommate can help tremendously from a financial perspective.

Second, by living with a roommate, you can learn social skill and communication skill. You would learn how to talk with and socialize with people naturally by living with roommates. Also, it would help you cooperate with people for business in future.

Third, you will have feeling of serenity. In the case of living alone, people could be emotionally detached. It can cause depression and if this gets worse, in extreme cases, people commit suicide. Like what I mentioned in the beginning, a roommate can be a safeguard for such problems. Good roommates share personal problems with each other and become therapeutic tools to overcome some personal issues by acts of consulting.

Lastly, living with a roommate will teach a simple but strong lesson: how to care and respect others. As mentioned, living alone has an advantage of personal freedom. However, one might ask whether that can be actually positive to a person’s life at all. At the end, we, people, are social animals. We have to learn how to mingle with others. In that sense, living with a total stranger like a roommate from abroad can be super effective to learn how to care and respect others.

In conclusion, I believe living with a roommate brings better outputs for my life. Ever since I entered the college, I met a lot of roommates whom I still contact with good will. I learnt a lot from them, and they also learnt a lot from me. Certainly, we made memorable experiences that still lingering in our minds. If I had lived alone, I would not have a chance to do such things. This makes me wonder about whom I would meet in this time.

  16. About Roommates

Are you living alone or with someone? Have you ever lived with a roommate while you are in a dormitory or studio apartment? People prefer living with a roommate while others prefer living alone. There are so many reasons why they are likely to live with a roommate or not. But in my case, I sincerely need a roommate. There are so many pros and cons for living with a roommate but for me, pros are more than cons. With a roommate, we can enjoy our lives more conveniently than living alone. The reason why I prefer to live with a roommate is we can eat a meal together, share our emotions with each other and get much information that we didn’t know before.

One of the reason why I’d love to live with a roommate is I don’t have to miss my meal. When we have so many things to do in our college like a homework, term project and test, sometimes we cannot but eating a meal alone. But if we are with a roommate it gives us a chance to eat a meal together without boredom. Whenever I want to eat a meal or chicken, I can easily ask to my roommate about this.

The next thing is we can share our emotions. As you know, sometimes we really want to talk with someone about something but if there is none near us, it will be very awful. These days depression is the most popular disease around us. I think living alone is one of the reasons causing depressions inside our mind because of the loneliness. So we need someone to show our feelings. If so, you don’t have to be alone and depressed.

Lastly, we can learn many things with each other. Especially, everyone is very different kinds of person who has distinct characters and personality because they have lived a little different life. So we can learn many things from dissimilar lifestyle and habit and share many different kinds of information from different major, homework and things that we didn’t know before. Because of the difference we are able to broad the boundary of our life more widely.

As I told you above, there are so many advantages if we are with a roommate. So I recommend you to live with a roommate. It will help you to live your life more conveniently by having a meal with your roommate, stopping being melancholy and acquiring much information from different kinds of person who lives with you.

  17. These days often reside in studio when you go to school or attend a job. Even dormitory is cheaper than studio apartment. Some people can’t satisfy score for dormitory or who want to associate freely. So they try to get a studio. But living alone has the economic burden. So in many cases to obtain a roommate. Actually I prefer to live with a roommate because we can reduce the financial burden, get emotional stability and make more personal connections.

First, the main reason to obtain a roommate to reduce the financial burden, which is, these days, the owner of the house may be in collusion with each other. Therefore, to obtain a roommate can save up to 30% less if you can.

Second, you can achieve emotional stability. If you stay alone, can’t talk with anyone. But you can heal loneliness when you chat with roommate. If you respect and care for each other, then society better off to go out and you can get along with many people.

    Most important to least important

Finally, if you get close with roommate or roommate's friend even if the contract has expired, there are bound to be an unforgettable friend. I think everyone wants a wider networking contacts. So roommate is a great way to expand personal connections

In addition to these three reasons when an emergency or borrow things can be the best companion. With respect to cherish and we can be a social person, and can good affect to a lot of people. At last, I always fun with them.

  18. Living with roommates is really difficult. I think that living with roommate may not be suit each other, therefore, can't avoid to conflict each other. So, I think that there are many advantage to live alone. although I didn't live with many roommates, I lived with the several roommate and did many experiences. Those experiences had the some good part. But I had more bed parts. when we live with roommate, It makes annoying to match each other, and we have to understand roommate, Next, we must give attention to each other.

First, it is a bit annoying to Match each other. My roommate, who was a noisy people, when i go to toilet, Where are you going ? He asked. and when i study hardly, what are you doing ? he asked repeatedly.
I wished to live independently. But He wished to interfere. Impossible, evidently lots of Many conflicts have occurred.

    Then next problem is straddle.
It is difficult to bring a close friend . and it is difficult to bring his close friend. In addition i can not see late tv and late task is even difficult. if some of the problem is repeat, it can cause the emotional problem. so we have understand each other.

Next, we must give attention to each other. when the roommate is hurt, i have to take care of roommate. If a roommate has the illness from fatigue, I has to nurse all the night through and when being sick, I have to get a medicine. like this, I have to the responsibility to take care of a roommate.

In conclusion, If you spent alone , more comfortable and can have freely live. but if you live with roommate, There are many disadvantages. first, It is a bit annoying to Match each other. and next problem is straddle. next problem we must give attention to each other. because this many problem, i prefer to live alone.

  19. If you stay with roommate, you would get some advantage such as saving the money, don't feel lonely, and broadening a relationship.

First, you can save the money by staying with roommate. there are some reason. these days, many people are suffering from increasing of house price. once you live with roommate, you can decrease burden of house fee.

Second, it is help for you to avoid feeling lonely. whenever you come back your home, they greet you brightly. also by talking each other, you can share the each interest. as a result you drive up timid with roommate.

The last one is broadening a relationship. we feel we have knew the importance of human network. think different, roommate is also new human network. if you make a friends toward your roommate, you would know the another person it will be help in the future.
This is the reason why I prefer to stay with roommate.

  20. Our society has a much connection. Each person form a connection in different place. Business, just be friend, roommates is example. Up to now we experienced many chances whether live with roommate or not. In that situation, we need to decide. Some people think living alone is better, but I don't think so. There are three reasons to me. In my experience, roommate gives me a positive effect because I can share my emotion to roommate, I can save money, and I get a great helper.

Most of people suffered emotional problem. In this situation, we urgently needed other people's advice or consolation. I also experienced many times. One day, I had a big problem with friendship. My friend's idea and my idea was conflicted. That moment, my roommate gives a good solution. Thanks to my roommate, I could reconcile my friend. Above this situation, I often helped from my roommate. 21. There are many reasons to seek a roommate. Does not matter if it has to deal with moving out, moving into a dorm for university, or even renting an apartment. A roommate can share your expenses and contribute to my home's maintenance. However, there are many ways in which having a roommate can be at a disadvantage. For example, privacy, shared space and being unreliable can cause big conflicts.

Firstly, having a roommate will mean that I will sacrifice some privacy. Some activities that may have been enjoyable while living alone can now become awkward while sharing space with someone else. Eventually, I may come to find that my roommate's or even my own relationships may require more discretion than I'd like, in order to precent making anyone feel uncomfortable. Also, to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, there's a chance that one may have to dress before leaving the room to avoid any unexpected encounters.

Secondly, the shared space and resources can also be a disadvantage. Both people will bring useful things into the home. One may own a television and stereo system while the other had dishes and cookware. Most likely both will be buying food and other items for the space that fits their individual tastes. One may not be respectful using the others belongings. Moreover, if there's food that one may have hid the other might eat it without asking. Shared resources like a bathroom and a kitchen may be a bit hectic at times if there isn't an established time schedule that allows both roommates to use them as needed.

Last but not least, one roommate may tend to be unreliable. For example, a roommate may move out before the lease ends, neglecting to pay his or her share of bills after leaving, and that is where there's a possibility of financial trouble.

I have had some good experiences living with roommates as well, but I still prefer to live alone. Because I found that living with roommate has some problems as I mentioned above; a privacy, the space and resources shared, the possibility of unreliable roommate. Even though there are many advantage of roommate I want to have my own private space the most. I will always go for living alone for those reasons.

  22. Most of people experiences living with roommates in their life. For some people who have never lived with others yet except their family, it could be very tough and uncomfortable to share not only their room but also their time with someone. However, I think the advantages of having roommates much outweigh the disadvantages because living with roommates makes people more mature, makes life more fun, and reduces living cost as well.

Living with another people teaches how to deal with many problems. When I just started to live with my first roommates, I didn’t even know how to bring up the subject of sharing housework with my roommates. Therefore, many times I did all those chores, and then became tired and irritable to my roommates instead. Over time, I figured out we needed some rules even in the small studio apartment and learned how to talk to people about uncomfortable issues without offending them.

I am the kind of person who gets lonely sometimes, especially when I am alone. I personally like doing something fun with my friends and sharing what I feel with someone. I believe there are many people feel like I do. Being with someone makes life more fun and people feel more safe. For example, in general, when people are watching a hilarious comedy show with someone, they tend to laugh much more than when they are alone .

Moreover, it is the easiest way to reduce living cost to share a room especially for young people who cannot afford expensive rent. one of the best parts of having roommates is that people can put their money together and purchase many things such as home appliances, daily supplies or food together. It is an economical and smart way to save money. In my case, I had to discuss with my roommate what I was planning to buy for us everytime before I really went to shop. It helped me to spend less.

In my own experience, having roommates is worth it. The most important thing is that it made me a better and more considerate person. I’m still learning many things by living with my current roommate, and I think it’s part of growing up. Also, it’s efficient way to have a fun life and save money at the same time.

  24. There are a number of people who live with roommates to save money. On the other hand, other lots of people decide to live alone even though they can reduce housing expenses by sharing a room because there are a lot of disadvantages of living with roommates. In fact, I am one of those people who prefer to live alone because I can feel free to do anything, protect my private life and I don’t have to be concerned about breaking up a friendship with roommates.

First of all, I don’t have to get stressed out to care about others. I have to try not to do what my roommate doesn’t like. For example, if my roommate were extremely sensitive about noise while studying, I would have to be careful not to make any sound such as typing on a keyboard. However, if I don’t have a roommate, I can listen to music loud, call my friends, talk to myself and do whatever I want in my room.

Living in the same room with another person means no privacy. I feel obligated to answer how I am and where I go when my roommate asks me, and I usually ask my roommate about those questions as well. Sometimes, I don’t want to tell my personal story to others. If my roommate asks me how I am, I can’t always be honest because I don’t want to say the detailed story. I have to hide my feeling either when I don’t want to make my roommate worry or when I am just not in the mood to tell her the story.

Lastly, I don’t have to worry about losing relationship with roommates. I sometimes have to be patient when my roommate does what I don’t like. Reversely, my roommate can feel it in the same way. It can cause huge conflicts between roommates. I also have heard many stories that close friends became enemies after living together. Nobody may want to end up hating close friends.

Overall, living alone just makes my life so much peaceful. I can do whatever I like and I can have my own private space. Also, I don’t have to struggle to keep my roommate as my friend. For these reasons, I think it is better to live alone than living with roommates.
